If you have been an Installous-user(I was) all these years, the recent shutting down of the service would have come as a shock. A lot of users are now looking for Installous alternative solutions and methods. Installous made things enormously simple so there's really no way you can think of to make the alternative processes simple.

However, there's this software called iFunbox which has had a pretty good run amidst jailbreakers.

iFunbox is a SSH-type device with a good GUI. It's basically the usual shell guy with a beautiful face so you can interact in a more intuitive way with your iPhone.

Anyway , lets start :D
First of all download iFunbox from here: http://dl.i-funbox.com/ there u can choose which version u want and if its for windows or mac. DONT use the beta, doesnt work well.. I use the version 2,7 (windows).

-Unzip your file and run the ifunbox .exe

-Connect your i-device

-When ifunbox opens, you see different tabs at the top , Go to iFunbox Classic.

-Now, you will that your i-device is connected (at the left of your ifunbox screen). Click ''User Applications''

You will see the installed app's , now u can click ''Install App'' at the top right and browse - doubleclick your ipa file :D

*IMPORTANT*
This message says its 100% complete, BUT dont disconnect. You have to wait for another message.

You HAVE to wait for this message, then you will know that the app/game has been installed with succes and then u can disconnect your device:

Have Fun with it, if u got any questions ; you know where to find me :D

Low on space storage or a quick install? (follow red marks)

how to move an IPA to the appaddict downloads folder to install with apaddict app! I say it belongs in this tutorial as an alternate method, because sometimes ifunbox fails. (ocassionaly) or you just want it in appaddict downloads. - BY MONGOLO

1. get a copy of iFunobx @ http://www.i-funbox.com/ it's a great application for managing u iphone
2. have IPA ready on computer, iDevice connected, open iFunbox
3.[PC] go to the tab that says "Managing App Data" and copy the IPAs to the "AppAddict" folder in "Managing App Data" i_Fun_Box_Managing_App_Data_Medium.png

then open the AA button and drag the IPA files in:
i_Fun_Box_Managing_App_Data_002_Medium.p

[MAC] put the IPA into user applications>appaddict>documents (also can do this on PC)
5. Safe eject and open appaddict on your iphone, and the resign and install just like any app downloaded form appaddict apps.
they should be in here:

you may do that easily with iTools, by just select them all and drop them in Application section.

What is the benefit using ifunbox instead of itunes installing ipas? My last ios device I used the ipad 3 and I had no problem installing with itunes... I am going to get the retina mini soon and I pre downloaded lot of stuff!

Thanks

Every person has their own preference. iFunbox is quite easy to use that's why some people prefer it.

Personally I like iFunbox, but I like iTools too, sizes less than 10mb, it's a single app and doesn't require any installation, useful for traveling with an USB, plus has similar features of iFunbox :D
