I know it's floated around but I don't see any info on this forum. Is there a fix for preventing AppSync from crashing Safari and Mail on iOS 7 jb?

I STRONGLY advise you not to use it, it f*cked up my iphone, had to download all the apps all over again, but use at your own risk.
The only reason i tried it was to fix the weather and trafic info not appearing on NC, but it didn't work, yet, i found another way to do it.

Just after installing, rebooted, and then all the apps were gone.

I can confirm, the latest version is working.
I too did seem to lose my apps, so had to re-do it, but since have read that the apps are still there and just need to re-populate, a re-spring does this.
I thought this was the case as when I tried to re-sync after I thought I lost them, ITunes said , the device has ran out of space?
It seems they were just hidden.
At the time I did not have any way to respring, so decided to re do it all.

Ok for me at least I had to completely restore and do a clean jailbreak and then install this version of Appsync for it to work (I had the older version installed before this). Otherwise BOTH my iPhone 5S & iPad Mini got stuck on an infinite boot logo & were not even identified by iTunes (invalid serial numbers) and had to be restored in DFU mode. So I would say make a backup BEFORE installing this to be on the safe side.

Safari and Mail started crashing after installing 2 minor tweaks that compatable with my device. I decided to re-install the 2.9 deb pkg and resulted in a boot loop. I could not get shell access to the device forcing me to rstore and re-jb from scratch.
Advise is install free/purchased apps and cydia tweaks and back up before installing 2.9 pkg. At least you have a restore point to restore from.

Goddamnit urhacked, you were faster again
We anyways had the same issue: Safari wasn't starting again.
After 30 mins of googling, using a video downloader on iOS (lol), we found the solution, which is very similar to the one given above:
1. Deinstall AppSync and any related app/.deb (CrackAddickt/AppAddict)
2. Reboot your phone.
3. Go to /var/mobile/Library/Caches
4. Delete com.apple.mobile.installation.plist
5. Delete com.apple.LaunchServices-054.csstore
7. Now you can install AppSync and the other stuff again
